Lyme Regis Golf Club, one of the South West’s finest golf courses, approached Sonder with the challenge of transforming their outdated website into a digital presence worthy of their prestigious, immaculate course. Nestled on the Jurassic Coast, the club boasts stunning views and exceptional facilities, but their website didn’t reflect the calibre of the experience they offer.
Having already worked closely with the club on wider marketing projects, we had a strong understanding of their brand and target audience. Our first step was for Rob Larcombe to create new brand guidelines, consolidating what they already had while moving to a deeper, classier dark blue palette that aligned with their premium offering.
We were fortunate to collaborate with current member and renowned photographer Rob Coombe, who provided an exceptional library of imagery, including breathtaking drone footage. This media became the centrepiece of the site, with a captivating video hero showcasing the beauty of the course and its surroundings. Huge thanks to Rob for his outstanding work - we've used Rob for so many of our clients, and he always does a fabulous job.
The website’s key focus was to cater to two distinct audiences: current members and potential visitors. We restructured the sitemap and navigation to ensure clear, seamless journeys for both groups, making it easy for members to access important information while enticing visitors to experience the course for themselves.
The result is a sleek, visually stunning website that positions Lyme Regis Golf Club as a must-visit destination for golfers and a prestigious community for its members. We’re proud to have played a role in elevating the club’s digital presence to match the quality of their renowned course.
